Objective

To design, fund, and construct a fully accessible Rotary Park for children with physical disabilities in Novosibirsk, leveraging community mobilization, fundraising, and strategic partnerships to create long-term social impact.

Responsibilities

  • Led the full scope of project delivery on behalf of the Novosibirsk-Initiative Rotary Club, from concept to inauguration.
  • Secured two international grants, overseeing the full grant lifecycle — from proposal writing and compliance to financial reporting and impact measurement.
  • Designed and coordinated a multi-channel fundraising and crowdsourcing strategy, including public campaigns, private donor events, online platforms, and international outreach.
  • Oversaw all PR and communications activities: developed a multilingual website integrated with global payment systems, secured media coverage through targeted outreach and interviews, and actively promoted the project across blogs, social media, and Rotary networks worldwide.
  • Built partnerships with local authorities, NGOs, and commercial organizations to gain political, financial, and material support.
  • Managed and motivated a team of volunteers and club members, organizing thematic events such as charity film screenings, masquerade balls, auctions, and community campaigns.

Results

  • Successfully constructed the world’s first Rotary Park for children with disabilities.
  • Mobilized over 80 volunteers and secured contributions from 376 individuals and 48 organizations. Engaged 13 companies that provided construction materials and services free of charge or at cost.
  • Over 2,000 anonymous donors participated in city-wide fundraising events. The Wall of Honor in the park commemorates more than 400 contributors — a symbol of community solidarity and lasting legacy.
  • Raised the target amount of 5 million rubles over three years through diverse fundraising initiatives.
